The War Memorial Hall, Duddon will be holding a Quiz, starting at 8pm, entrance is £2.50 and there will be a bar and raffle.


Friday 22nd February

Monday 25th February

Kelsall Primary School is inviting people on the first village community health walk at 1.30pm. The aim is to get out and active while meeting new people.It will be a short circular walk around the village starting from school followed by a cup of tea and biscuit. Bunbury WI
2019 is our 90th Birthday so we have an exciting and inspiring year ahead of us. In February we are leaving our warm homes to hear about the work of the Shrewsbury Street Pastors, March we are travelling on a mystical journey taking us out of our logical worlds with the Magician Pete Turner whilst in April we’re taking flight with Lisa and her birds from Shropshire Falconry (as seen on BBC Countryfile). We have an active Craft and Scramble group too.

Peckforton and Beeston WI

We had an excellent meal at our Christmas party, followed by most enjoyable entertainment by ‘The Robinsons’ duo.  Our next hall meeting is on 6th February when Mark Powell’s talk will be entitled ‘Making a Difference – MAD’.  We meet in Peckforton Village Hall on most first Wednesdays of the month and are delighted to welcome visitors.  Margaret Ellis, 01829 261898
Tarporley WI
Our February meeting is on Wednesday 6th, when Sue Ord will let us in on The Secrets of Handwriting! Please join us in the Done Room behind St. Helen’s Church.  We have even more lights on the drive now, so it is brighter to walk from the High Street. Doors open at 7:30pm for 7:45pm.  Friends and visitors are always welcome – your first meeting is free!  If you haven’t yet renewed, this is £42 for the whole year, and you can pay by cash, cheque or BACS.  If you do not wish to join,  you are still very welcome,  £5 per visit. We will have a selection of refreshments – no carrot sticks this month!!  £1 donation requested.
