Army cadets go above and beyond

The Tarporley Detachment of the Army Cadets have recently been on a Christmas camp with various other detachments around the county.
On the camp there were a series of competitions, based on the various training the cadets undergo, such as shooting or first aid.
Tarporley was honoured to be given the award for the group who go ‘above and beyond’. It was given for the activities and events they have attended and organised and helped throughout the year; such as going to Normandy, being a major part in the ‘There but not there’ parade, another major part in the remembrance parade, as well as organising for the counties ACF band to attend in Tarporley, which is also the first time the band have been used for remembrance parade, and also becoming one of two detachments in the whole county which are affiliated to the Royal British Legion.
