Apple Pressing Day at Tarvin

Blessed with a dry day at last, the Tarvin Community Woodland Trust held their fourth annual Apple Pressing day – in the woodland, of course.

Many villagers with their families and friends brought hundreds of apples to be chopped, crunched and squeezed and were rewarded with tasty juice to be sampled there and then or to be taken away for later.

There were activities for the children, with burgers, hot dogs, tea and coffee also to be enjoyed.

As usual the event was well organised with many enthusiastic helpers and a most rewarding day was had by all.”
