Tarporley trio get Oxford offers

Year 13 students have been busy working on their personal statements and UCAS applications last term, which resulted in a record number of submissions. The school helps students to make sure their applications are of a high standard which led to a number of excellent responses from universities. Numerous comments came from admissions tutors complimenting students on their excellent applications.

As always, students applied for a diverse range of courses including: Economics, Mathematics, product design, medicine, dentistry, english, fashion, physiotherapy, drama, business, chemical engineering, journalism, construction and the humanities. Congratulations to all Year 13 and to Sam Barrett, Tom Harrop and Jonathan Melia who received offers from Oxford University. Sam is aiming to study mathematics and computer science at Keble, whilst Jonathan and Tom will read engineering at Balliol and New College respectively.

The school has organised an ‘A-level Subject Information Evening’ for Year 11 students on Thursday, 15th February. This event is also open to students not currently studying at Tarporley. For further information about joining our Sixth Form in September please contact TEverton@TarporleyHigh.co.uk.
