Peckforton and Beeston WI

In December we had a talk by Barry Fewster on the history of Hawkstone Park and Follies. After being left to deteriorate for many years, restoration began in 1992, the Follies were brought back to life and now form a great tourist attraction in the area.

Our Christmas party was a huge success as a table magician moved around the room performing the most amazing tricks during our meal.  We were all completely mesmerized and astonished at his expertise in the use of misdirection. January brings our New Year’s Lunch and then another year of interesting talks and outings begin; come and join us, you will be very welcome.  Margaret Ellis 01829 261898
