Visitor numbers are up at Bunbury Mill

By the end of September, an estimated 1,762 people had visited the mill and visitor centre this year – an increase of 24% on last year’s figure.
Among the visits this year have been local primary school children learning about life in Victorian times, as well as working in the mill, making bread, and a range of craft activities.

The mill trust will receive grants totalling £11,900 from WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental) to replace the rotten windows in the Victorian mill building, buy new wooden cogs which the volunteers will fit to the mill’s gear wheels, and replace the old linotile flooring in the visitor centre.
