WELL done to Gareth Hughes who is attempting to run 31 marathons in 31 days.
Gareth, who lives in Tarvin, started at the end of September and hopes to culminate his efforts with the gruelling Snowdonia Marathon on 28th October.
What makes it even tougher is that he is having to get up at 3am every day to run the 26 miles – and then complete a full day’s work!
Gareth is no stranger to endurance events having competed in the UK Ironman and finished several marathons in the past.
Wife Helen said: “He just likes to push himself and wanted to do something that would really test him.”
He has already raised £2,000 for three charities, including the Cheshire Autism Practical Support (CHAPS) and two charities in South Wales where he works during the week. He has set up a Virgin Money page ‘Challenge 31’ and people are welcome to donate at any time.
