Planning Application for 10 Houses
The plans for the land at the former Royal British Legion site are now available for all to see via http://pa.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/online-applications/ by putting the planning application number 17/00760/FUL into the search box on the planning page. The plans include knocking down the old clubhouse, providing a 32 space car park at the front on the site, building 10 houses, retaining the current bowling green and around 68% of the existing land for allotments.
The Parish Council are holding an extra-ordinary meeting on Monday March 27th at 7pm in the Community Centre, so that members of the public can look at the plans and share their views with them. After the public forum part of this meeting, the Councillors will hold their meeting to decide on their comments about the plans which will be submitted to the planners at Cheshire West and Chester Council for consideration.
Members of the public can also submit their own comments to the planners at the address above or by emailing email@example.com. The official closing date for comments is 29th March but generally they accept comments after the closing date, providing it is before the date they consider the application.

NatWest Bank Closure
Despite meetings and petitions, it is with regret that the bank seems on course to close in June. NatWest are helping their customers move to digital banking by providing assistance in the bank on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from their digital expert Anthony Welsh. They have created a new post of Community Banker, who will provide financial assistance and advice on a regular basis in the village after the bank has closed. Our local post office is geared up to undertake the paying in of money (both cash and cheques) and the provision of cash for customers using their bank card.
