Holocaust survivor Lady Milena Grenfell-Baines spoke to Year 9 pupils about how she escaped the Nazis in World War Two.
The pupils were taking part in Holocaust Remembrance Day, giving them the chance to reflect upon the victims and the impact it has on the world today. The enrichment day allowed students to take control of their own enquiry into the Holocaust. These involved a variety of topics, such as: the lives of victims, to people who formed resistance and the companies we recognise today that did business with the Nazis.
Lady Milena spoke about the Kindertransport rescue effort and answered students’ questions.
