Club scores with sponsorship deal

Tattenhall Cricket Club have unveiled a new electronic scoreboard.

The club’s latest enhancements have been made possible following a three-year sponsorship deal with Inspired Villages, developers of a new 151 apartment luxury retirement village at Frog Lane in Tattenhall.

Alex Sandland, chairman of Tattenhall Cricket Club, said: “Through the support of Inspired Villages, we’re delighted to upgrade the scoreboard facility and to bring a junior cricket tournament to our grounds for the very first time.  The timing of this coincides with an exciting summer ahead, starting this month with the Cheshire vs. Wiltshire fixture.  This is the first time such a game has been awarded to Tattenhall and a fantastic opportunity to showcase our unique rural setting and excellent facilities.”

The club are also hosting the Tattenhall Junior Cricket Festival for u9 and u11 age groups. There will be eight teams in each six a side softball game and over 120 junior cricketers from Cheshire clubs will be involved. The tournament will be publicised on the cricket club’s website.

Phase One of Inspired Tattenhall will launch later this year with 48 luxurious apartments. Inspired Villages provides many types of accommodation for the over 65s and prices for a two-bed apartment in phase one range from £299,000 to £516,000.
