Beer festival could make £7,000

The end of January saw the return of 9th Tarporley CE Primary School PTA Beer Festival at Tarporley Community Centre.  This annual celebration of real ales, ciders and perry has become a popular highlight in the calendar. There was particular excitement in the air prior to the festival weekend as the PTA band The Warning Flower were playing on the Saturday evening.

A parent at the Primary School who helps tend the bar Michael George has kindly organised matched funding of £1000 through his employer Barclays Bank.

In addition to the Primary School the beneficiaries of this year’s event are Tarporley War memorial Hospital and Tarporley Baptist Methodist Chapel Restoration Fund.

Head Teacher Kerry Forrester said: “I would like to thank our amazing PTA Beer Festival Committee for the phenomenal work they do to organise such a successful event that has been embraced by our community. We are blessed as a school to have such fantastic parents, staff and governors who make such events possible”.

The 10th anniversary festival in 2016 takes place on 30th and 31st January.
