A Tarporley medical company has experienced extraordinary growth in the space of a year.
Jigsaw Medical supplies paramedics, nurses and doctors to organisations and events all over the country. It has also branched out to provide training and recruitment solutions for the NHS and private clients, so much so that the company has tripled in size during 2014.
Among the highlights of 2014 was the Virgin STRIVE challenge – providing a medical team for 10 people who ran, rowed, cycled, hiked and climbed from the O2 arena in London to the peak of the Matterhorn in Switzerland.
The company also provided first aid at the Tour de France Grand Départ in Yorkshire in July with 227 paramedics, nurses and doctors throughout the two days.
2014 also saw the expansion of the Jigsaw Medical brand to Sydney, Australia to become the only UK based agency to deal with paramedics internationally, on such a large scale. The aim is to use this opportunity to drive recruitment in and out of the UK, with offshore and onshore opportunities already available to UK based candidates and global candidates.
Managing Director Chris Percival said: “It is teamwork and the amazing people we have on-board that has got us here. Our locum doctors and nurses, event paramedics, sales team, office team, recruitment team, first aiders and the team in FM – absolutely everyone involved in the business as a whole. It is these people who determine its success.
“We’re not resting on our laurels however, and plans are in motion for further growth in the future. We have recently set-up our specialist theatre nurses and ODP desk within our recruitment division and there are other things in the pipeline for 2015, so it’s an exciting time at Team Jigsaw.”
