Sixth formers make a big contribution

After a busy year of fundraising, the Sixth Form Council have made donations to a number of different charities, namely, Hope for Justice, Little Princess Trust, North West Air Ambulance, Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Tarporley War Memorial Hospital, St Luke’s Hospice and also the Alzheimer’s Society, in recognition of our ambition to become a Dementia Friendly Sixth Form. Congratulations must go to Council Chair, Sam Windsor and his committee, for their dedication and hard work in raising over £1,400.

The Sixth Form Council were busy again in September with their annual coffee morning for members of the community and we welcomed guests from local churches, surrounding villages and the War Memorial Hospital. Held in the Sixth Form common room, our visitors were treated to homemade refreshments and were joined by Sixth Formers for bingo with lots of prizes and very imaginative calling! The event was really well received and brought about a lovely atmosphere in the college. Donations on the day were for Macmillan Cancer Care.
