The Sheriff’s in town!

The High Sheriff of Cheshire Susan Sellers paid a visit to Tarporley CE Primary School on Tuesday 16th September. On arrival she was greeted by Head Teacher Mrs Forrester, house captains Dylan, Aaron, Abigail and Isobelle and Yr 6 School Council reps Alicia and James.

She was then showed round the school and was particularly impressed with the buddy system which helps Reception children settle into starting school.

The High Sheriff also showed a keen interest in the outdoor area and allotment and all the plans for the improvements that are happening to the outdoor play equipment with the recently awarded Lottery Grant.

It was an inspirational event for the children, that brought history to life for them, as they heard about the way in which High Sheriffs have been chosen by the Queen.

The High Sheriff has even blogged about her visit on her website which you can read on the following link.
