Peckforton Castle is hosting the ultimate family fun day on 13th July, all in aid of a project set up by local Mums.
The stunning medieval style castle, set in the heart of Tarporley will be opening its grounds on to raise money to build a new children’s playground in Bunbury.
For one day only visitors to the stunning hotel and wedding venue will be able to enjoy of host of activities within the grounds. There will be garden games, archery, face painting, a falconry display, assault course and segways – to name just a few of the exciting things guaranteed to keep everyone fully entertained.
Matthew Naylor, Director of Sales and Marketing at Peckforton Castle says:
“We wanted to pull out all the stops for the fun day as we don’t often have the opportunity to open the grounds to all. The Castle was inspired by the Bunbury project and wanted to get behind it in any way we could.”
He adds: “The money raised from the day will all go towards the new playground and we look forward to seeing it bring joy to the children in our community.”
Beth Hayward, who heads up the team of Mums behind the Bunbury playground project, is delighted the event is taking place:
The Peckforton Castle Family Fun day will also play host to a famous face, as Bunbury’s Olympic medallist Beth Tweddle will be making an appearance. Beth, who won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics, is supporting the new playground and is heavily involved in the design plans. The gymnast has helped to create a bespoke piece of gymnastic equipment that be produced by local sculptor Stephen Broadbent and eventually go into the playground.
