Tarporley’s outstanding High School is once again holding its Annual Celebration of the Arts. This will take place during the evenings of Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th of July. Over the two evenings it will be possible to see the GCSE and A-level work produced in Art and Technology by pupils at the school and then enjoy a concert in the school hall.
The doors will open at 6.00 pm for those who wish to look at the exhibition of Art and Technology before the concert. The concert itself will commence at 7.00 pm with a performance in the school hall, featuring modern dance performances and music played in a range of popular styles. During the interval there will be another fantastic opportunity to see the GCSE and A-level Art exhibition and a display of GCSE and A level Technology work. This will include Painting and sculpture, furniture and fashion. It will also feature art and craft work by high school staff, which often arouses great interest amongst pupils and visitors alike.
Mr Bill Voyce, the school’s faculty leader for Physical, Creative Arts and Technology, said
“In our school we are very proud of the levels of achievement our students reach. This event is designed to showcase the talent at Tarporley High School, and in doing so provide an outstanding opportunity for parents and carers to appreciate the work that has been produced. It also gives access to the wider community who often leave with greater appreciation of how the school serves the community. It’s also an evening of fantastic entertainment and fun.”
If you would like to attend, you can purchase your tickets from the school office. Adults are £4 and children are £2.
