Valets for a day

Valets for a Day Tarporley High copyFollowing the success of Charity Week last term, Sixth Formers have been busy adding to their charity fund by agreeing to be auctioned as ‘Valets for a Day’.
Jobs included carrying bags at lesson changeover and being on hand at lunch and break to purchase delicacies from various shops and fast food outlets. Some Year 13s were even ‘ordered’ to dress up in various outfits and wigs! Although Valet Day can be quite frenzied, it is always fun and provides an opportunity for lower school students to have the upper hand over the Sixth Formers!
The Sixth Form charity fund has raised around £1,550 this year, which will be donated to a number of different charities, including:  Tarporley War Memorial Hospital, Chester & District Deaf Society, North West Air Ambulance and Dementia Friends.
Our Sixth Formers have now entered the exam season and are working hard for their AS and A2-levels, for which we wish them every success.
