New sixth formers have big shoes to fill

Tarporley Sixth Form College are celebrating record breaking A Level results and are hoping that the new Year 12 students will do just as well. The success of the students begins from their first week in Year 12 during their Sixth Form Induction from which the students have recently returned. Designed to build relationships within tutor groups as well as with some of the key staff who work with the Sixth Form, the three days at the Conwy Centre, Anglesey, help prepare the students for A Level study.
The departing Year 13s achieved 57% A Level grades (A*-B) which represents the highest percentage increase of all schools and colleges in the Local Authority; 3% of all grades awarded being at the very highest level of A*/A – again the highest in the local authority.
