Young skier flying high

Fourteen-year-old Tarporley High School student, Rhodri Gale, finished the winter ski season in style with an impressive 3rd place in his age group in the slalom event at the British Alpine Championships in Meribel, France. This resulted in him being selected to take part in the next stage for the British Children’s U16 team.
Additionally, Rhodri has had his sponsorship renewed with Chill Factore, the UK’s longest indoor ski slope. Over the summer months he will be making the most of this, by attending twice weekly race training sessions. Thanks to Chill Factore he has also had the opportunity to develop his moguls and boarder cross skills. He is looking forward to putting these skills into practice in the English Moguls Championships and several other competitions to be held over the summer at Chill Factore, along with many other slalom racing events.
The training sessions, open to all levels, have not only been great fun, but are also helping Rhodri with his all round development in snow sports. More details on the sessions run by Chill Factore can be found at www.chillfactore.com
